Music by Gasparini and Porpora
The splendid voice of Roberta Invernizzi accompanies us on this journey between two composers of different generations that with Venice and its theaters have had very close relations. The second decade of the Eighteenth century saw the sunset of Gasparini (who had been for years Master and teacher at the Ospedale della Pietà ), and at the same time the emergence of one of the new stars of the Italian melodrama, Niccolò Porpora, who became Maestro at the Conservatorio degli Incurabili with the representation of his Siface in Venice.
